Why Standing Practice is Critical in Tai Chi Chuan

Qigong is considered to be vital in learning how to deeply root oneself.

It's the difference between a statue merely standing on the floor that can be easily knocked over, and one that's screwed into the ground.

When you have achieved a stable base, and a force path into the ground, then you can move in any direction at will with power.
